How does this all work?
I will take client-provided content, mixed with curated high-quality imagery to create an informational website on the Squarespace platform for your business or practice. I will then direct a domain of your choosing (either an existing domain or a new one) to your new website.
Is this right for me?
If you need a website that is simply beautiful, informational, and mobile-friendly, you’ve come to the right place. I will get your website done right and done quickly.
What’s the investment?
I offer a one-page starter website for $500, 4-6 page website for $1200, and e-commerce website for $1500. Optional add-ons and custom packages available. Those who upgrade their one-page website for a glow-up later on will receive a $500 credit!
Customers are responsible for the Squarespace fee ($144-220/year after the 20% discount that I offer). This covers your web hosting.
Why Squarespace?
There are several different platforms available to build a website on (Wordpress, Wix, Showit, etc.). I wholeheartedly recommend Squarespace for many reasons. For one, it’s extremely reliable, won’t break, won’t go down, is reputable and reasonably priced. It’s super convenient that you can have your website, email, and domain all in one place with one bill. Also, their online chat support can’t be beat!
I firmly believe that clients should have autonomy over their website. Once your site has been developed, you’ll be empowered to make your own changes (if you want to - I can help if you don’t). Updates are easy and I will provide you with a simple tutorial to update your own content.
Which Squarespace plan do I need?
I recommend the Squarespace Business Plan, which is about $220 (after my 20% discount- yay!) for the first year and includes a domain (.com) and custom email account free (again, for the first year).
Domain renewal is $20/year after the first year. Squarespace hosting is about $280 for the year and G-suite email is $6/month after the first year; this is all billed automatically through Squarespace, not me.)
How many pages will my site have?
While every website is slightly different, most informational sites can have all info covered in the 4-6 pages that are included in the standard website rate of $1200. This typically includes: Home, About, Contact, and 2 pages specific to your goals (Services, FAQs, Photo Gallery, etc).
Where will the content of my site come from?
You will provide the content for your site, and I will be here to guide you through it with some page design documents. I can also add some content, such as compelling headers, for marketing and design purposes.
High-resolution photos may be submitted by you, or where needed, I will curate, beautiful, high-res, license-free images to match the vibe of your site.
What about my domain name?
I can either redirect your current domain (I’ll need to ask for your login info to the domain registrar, such as GoDaddy) or I can register a new one through Squarespace.
You can let me know what you want the domain to be and we’ll cross our fingers that it’s available (and if not, I’ll suggest some close ones that are).
Will my site be secure?
Yes! All clients will get a free SSL certificate, which verifies to users and search engines that the website is secure and increase your SEO ranking.
